DIY Vintage Easter Egg Decoration

The new Issue of Country living gives as an interesting idea for vintage Easter eggs’ decoration . The idea is very attractive and not so difficult to accomplish. There are two ways to decorate the eggs like this. First one presented by Country Living is to download the desired patterns, resize them as to fit the eggs and then to print them on a temporary tattoo paper. The second way is to use decoupage technique for Easter eggs’ decoration . To do this, you will need eggs, decoupage glue, napkins with patterns, scissors, brush and acrylic lacquer. It will be better if you use white eggs for the decoupage . However, if the picture is dark, you can use and brown ones. You can also add some tone to eggs . Easter is very exiting for the children. Here is an idea how to involve your kids in the preparation for the holiday . Just decorate the eggs as their favorite fairy tale characters. In this post I present you the Disney Family's idea of the charming Red Queen from Alice in Wonderland. To make this project you will need white egg, napkin, colored paper, scissors, bottle cap, black marker, blue pencil, glue . Step 1 Print the template and cut it out. Step 2 Outline the template on colored paper patterns (the hair - on red paper, the crown - on yellow paper). Cut. Step 3 Cut out small circles of red paper (you can punch). I really like Easter . It reminds me of the Spring - my favorite season! And what will be the Spring without flowers ? Here is a simple, but I think it's very impressive craft project to do yourself - mini vases from egg shells . Very relevant on the eve of Easter ! What is needed? Well, prepare yourself whole egg shells, candle, a tray or any other surface to secure the vases. Step 1 Carefully make small holes in the eggs and remove the whites and the yolks. Step 2 Use few drops of wax in order to securely stick the shells to the tray (plate or other surface). Step 3 Stick the shells and wait the wax to become solid. Step 1 First you need to cover the egg-shell . You can always use an ordinary hen egg instead of wooden one. But in this case you must first make two holes, blow through them to remove the yolk and white and then to start working with the remaining shell. DIY funny lump sugar!

Table decoration for coffee time… The idea is not new but is still funny and very original. So to begin first prepare some sugar (white and brown), ice trays in different shapes, bowl, cup and teaspoon. And the instructions step by step… Step 1 Pour half cup water in the bowl. Step 2 Use the teaspoon to pour water (little by little) in the sugar till you get a paste constituency. Pay attention – if the water is more than needed the sugar will start to melt. Step 3 Fill the ice trays with the mixture and wait to dry for the night. Step 4 Carefully take out the sugar cubes and serve with your coffee! Ivy Leaves for Table Decoration

Easy and attractive idea how to decorate your coffee table . Coffee (tea) time and you have no idea how to adorn the table ? Marie Claire Idees Magazine gives us a chic idea for coffee table decoration – ivy leaves from lace decorated paper. It is cheap and doesn’t take lot of your time. And what is more this decoration is suitable for every occasion. Materials needed: thick paper (about 120g) with lace design, ruler, butter knife, scissors and glue. Step 1 Enlarge and print the leaf pattern (make sure the scale is correct). Cut the leaf out and lay it on the thick paper. Step 2 Outline the pattern. To define the folds use the ruler as a guide and run the backside of the butter knife along the dashed line. Step 3 Cut the leaf out and make the folds by hand. Close the leaf and glue the edges.
